KUALA LUMPUR, July 2, 2015:
Last year, Fuad Samsudin, found out the hard way he was adopted.
The Johor Baru-born, 45-year-old said he was adopted when he was only nine days old and was kept in the dark about it until his nephew broke the news to him.
Everyone in his adopted family knew, but never said a word for 44 years.
“One day last year, one of my nephews came to me and said he wanted to tell me something.
“That was when he told me everything and admitted he felt guilty for keeping it a secret for a long time.
“I took the news calmly because it already happened and there was no use for me to get grumpy or be mad at my adopted parents.
”I just want to meet my real parents and get to know them, that’s all,” he said in an interview with The Rakyat Post.
According to Fuad, ever since he knew the truth, his family members — save for his “angry” adopted parents — began to help him on his quest to locate his biological parents.Efforts to track them via  social media bore little fruit.Fuad found out his biological father’s name is Ramli and his mother’s Siti Fatimah.Siti, who is sometimes called  Ijah, Lijah or Jah is said to hail from Kemaman, Terengganu. The father of four also managed to obtain an old photograph of his parents.Fuad and wifeFuad Samsudin (right) and his wife Rhazalina Rhazali. — TRP pic by Arfa Yunus

It was said the last place his parents lived in was Negri Sembilan.
Fuad’s journey however was made a little difficult by his adopted parents, who refused to cooperate, even telling him to “forget  about it” and declared they would never tell him anything.
One time, he recalled,  they said his birth father was in the army, but later said he was a lorry driver.
“I don’t know which one is the truth. But I never questioned them again for fear it might break their hearts.”
Fuad, however, is still determined and is hoping the media can assist him in his plight.
“I hope through this interview, if there is anyone out there who have any information about my parents, please call me. I don’t even know if I have other siblings.”
All Fuad knows is that he was born in Johor Baru General Hospital on May 2, 1970, although he suspects his actual date of birth was nine days earlier.
The car salesman said he lived in  Kampung Melayu Majidee, Johor until he was 14.
“Please, if you know anyone by this name, please let me know.”
To those who have any information on the whereabouts of Fuad’s parents, he can be contacted at 019 670 5370 or his wife, Rhazalina Rhazali at 019 672 6991.
